Meet Bones

Bones is a retired Greyhound that was adopted by The Golden Rule from a Roanoke, VA-based Greyhound rescue. Most of the time, you will find Bones sleeping on her rug in the middle of our classroom. She loves to greet our students in the morning, though! We have found separation anxiety among some of our students has been eased by the promise of a snuggle with Bones upon entering our school. Feeding and watering Bones is also an important classroom chore, and our students take great pride in sharing the responsibility of caring for our beloved pet. Bones has been cleared through the health department.
