The Golden Rule in The Concord University Homecoming Parade

The Concord University Homecoming Parade, on the evening of October 8th, was a good chance for families to meet each other, and for the kids to feel and embrace the spirit of The Golden Rule Montessori School.

Our director, Mrs. Jana, drove Mr. TJ’s (her husband) truck, and our students rode in the back. We started throwing candies “one at a time.” Well, we have to admit that the “one at a time” rule didn’t really work well, but riding a truck and throwing candies brought lots of joy to our little Golden Rulers.

Candy supplies were depleted quickly, so we switched to singing our favorite songs. The most popular were the Continent Song and our Classroom Cleanup Song. When our students were tired of singing, they just loudly called out “The Golden Rule Rules!”

We agree!
