First up, we want to share with you a sneak peak of our future home. Our new location will be 102 Bee Street in Princeton. Remodeling is almost complete, and we are in the process of finalizing our needed permits and inspections. This new location is across the street from the Princeton campus of New River Community College and the Princeton Post Office.

Pre-School
We welcomed some new inhabitants to our classroom! Turkey eggs are going in our classroom incubator, and we are excitedly awaiting their hatch day in May. Painted lady caterpillars have arrived to show us all about butterfly life cycles, as well.

We took an Earth Day field trip with a lesson focused on celebrating diversity. You can read all about that on our blog post and in the Princeton Times profile.
We also visited “Bear Country” at the Chuck Mathena Center with a trip to see The Berenstain Bears, live.
Finally, our students are learning to play bells and performed a song for our April Open House.
Science Night
The April Science Night was a blast! Ariel Conn, a seismologist from Blacksburg, VA, visited to teach us about earthquakes and earthquake safety. We also had lessons on meteorology and planted sunflower seeds and peas. Check out the full photo album on The Golden Rule’s Facebook page.

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful month. May will bring a Mommy and Me Class, one last Science Night before summer, and more.
