Parents, teachers, and community members have been donating money for our Thanksgiving Dinner Drive since school started. This allowed us to buy Thanksgiving dinner supplies for 20 families in our community of Princeton, WV.

Leading up to Thanksgiving, we have talked in our classroom about gratitude, and our students have shared the people and things for which they are thankful. We’ve also talked about how giving from what we have is a great way to show our gratitude. Today, our students sorted our groceries, and then each got a bag to collect specific items. They were so excited to prepare these bags for their community. Thanks to everyone who donated and made this wonderful lesson possible!
